AARMS-CMS Student Poster Session

Organizers:   Jérémy Champagne (Waterloo), Teresa Norris (Alberta)

Date: Saturday, December 6, 2025

Location: Churchill Foyer, Chelsea Hotel, Toronto

Students are encouraged to present a poster on a topic of their choice. Presenters are asked to give a short (~3min) presentation to the judges and remain at their posters during judging to answer questions. The winners will be announced following the judging. Three winners will be selected based on content, organization, and presentation. Each winner will receive two complimentary tickets to the banquet as well as $100 and a framed award certificate.

Student Development Workshop

Organizers:   Logan Pipes (Mount Allison), Ludovick Bouthat (Laval)

The Student Committee of the CMS (StudC) is organizing a workshop for students on Friday, December 5, during the upcoming 2025 CMS Winter Meeting. You are welcome to attend (and you should since it is free for all meeting attendees!).

The CMS Student committee is organizing a Student Social on December 5 at 8 p.m. Come meet other students from across the country in a relaxed environment! The event is free for all CMS Winter Meeting attendees. More details about its location will be shared soon!

Student Research Session

The Canadian Mathematical Society Student Committee (CMS Studc) invites (undergraduate and graduate) students to showcase their research to a general mathematical audience at the Student Research Session during the 2025 CMS Winter Meeting.


How to Participate?
1. Ensure you are registered for the CMS Summer Meeting. 
Not a CMS member? Check with your department about becoming a university-sponsored student member at a reduced fee.


2. Contact the session organizers at studc-winter25-talks@cms.math.ca with your abstract by the deadline. You should receive the notice of acceptance back. Late submissions may be considered if space allows.
